Preliminary recommendations were presented to City Council on January 19th, 2023. The presentation can be downloaded under "Additional Resources" to the right. Next, the planning team and city staff will develop the goals, strategies, actions, that will provide the road map for how to turn these big ideas into reality. This will include assigning estimates of probable cost to significant projects tin order to consider cost as one factor related to project prioritization. The next public engagement opportunity will take place in late spring to seek community input on priorities.

Parks and Recreation staff and the planning team spent the summer seeking input from the community through in-person and online methods including focus groups, a booth at the Farmer’s market, a community-wide online questionnaire, and convening a technical advisory committee comprised of local professionals and experts from partner agencies. These efforts engaged approximately 759 people during that phase of outreach. Thank you to all who participated by sharing your ideas, concerns, preferences, and vision for the future of parks, recreation, open space, and trails in Woodland Park!
