Project Update #19

As a result of a successful petition from the Citizen’s Initiative group, during the October 5, 2023 City Council meeting, the Council was faced with a decision to either adopt Ordinance 1461, or set the matter for a Special Election. Council did not approve the Ordinance.

The failure to adopt Ordinance 1461 led to the approval of Resolution 907, officially declaring a Special Election for Woodland Park constituents and approving the official ballot title. Additionally, Council approved Resolution 908, securing placement for Ordinance 1462 on the ballot in December, creating conflicting considerations by way of two questions. The Special Election date is set for December 12, 2023.
